North Vancouver Homes To Continue Uptrend?
Real estate in North Vancouver has seen some nice gains over the last year and looks to continue that trend so far in 2015. There’s a real demand for real estate in the North Vancouver area, but the inventory is not matching the demand by any means. There has been a lot of domestic interest with local buyers looking to neighborhoods within the North Van area as still relatively affordable in terms of pricing, when compared to other areas within the Vancouver area and communities. North Vancouver properties offer one of the most beautiful backdrops in all of Vancouver, while giving you access to a strong schooling system, excellent neighborhood communities, and close proximity to everything. Choose from either the Second Narrows Bridge or the Lions Gate Bridge and you can be downtown in 15-25 minutes. It’s easy to see why people continue to gravitate to North Van and the long list of appealing factors. With the Bank Of Canada’s surprise quarter of a point rate drop last Friday, this might bring investors from Shanghai back into this market as prices probably look more appealing than previously, as the Canadian dollar’s steep decline over the last couple of months is giving them more buying power. Of course there are certain parts of the economy that are really feeling the pain of the sharp oil declines felt recently. Alberta’s market is sure to reach to areas of British Columbia, specifically the Okanagan, where many investors from Alberta have been actively buying vacation properties over recent years. The question is whether the trade off in cheaper local gas prices, lower interest rates, and a resurgence is possible foreign investors will be enough to match the excellent gains realized in the North Vancouver Houses over the last year.
